    About the Book

Revelation, Dreams, and Visions: Epistemological and Philosophical Perspectives in the Islamic Intellectual Tradition examines the diverse ways in which knowledge, spiritual insight, and transcendent experience have been conceptualized within Islamic thought.

The monograph investigates the philosophical foundations of prophecy, divine revelation, dreams, visions, and mystical experience, bringing classical Islamic scholarship into dialogue with enduring epistemological questions. Particular attention is given to the ways dreams and visionary experiences have been understood as possible sources of knowledge, ethical orientation, and spiritual guidance across different intellectual traditions.

By integrating historical, theological, and philosophical perspectives, the book illuminates the dynamic relationship between reason and revelation. It offers scholars, students, and readers of Islamic studies a coherent framework for exploring the intellectual and spiritual dimensions of Islamic epistemology.

A focused study of how reason, revelation, and visionary experience intersect in the formation of knowledge within the Islamic intellectual tradition.
